CITADEL OF DINANT

Perched high above the Meuse Valley, the Citadel of Dinant is one of Belgium's most iconic landmarks.

Visible from miles away, its dramatic position atop the limestone cliffs offers a spectacular welcome to the heart of the Meuse region.

CITADEL OF MONTMÉDY

Dominating the surrounding countryside, the Citadel of Montmédy is one of the finest examples of Vauban's military architecture.

Visible from miles away, its distinctive fortifications provide a remarkable visual reference on the route to Verdun.

OSSUARY OF DOUAUMONT

Emerging from the forests surrounding Verdun, the Ossuary of Douaumont is among the most recognisable landmarks along the route.

Its imposing silhouette and vast cemetery remind visitors of the sacrifices made during one of the most significant battles of the Great War.
