DA208 connects Namur to Aachen-Merzbrück through some of the most scenic landscapes of eastern Belgium and western Germany.

After passing the Gileppe Dam, the flight reaches the famous Three-Country Point at Vaalserberg before continuing towards the spectacular waters of the Rursee and finally arriving at Aachen-Merzbrück Airport.

ALONG THE ROUTE

THE NETHERLANDS

Beyond the Three-Country Point, the landscape opens into the gentle plains of the Netherlands. From the air, fields, villages and country roads form a vast patchwork stretching towards the horizon.

Orderly, peaceful and unmistakably Dutch, this landscape offers a striking contrast with the wooded hills of Belgium and Germany, all visible within a few nautical miles of one another.

GERMANY

Crossing into Germany, the landscape changes once again. Vast forests blanket the rolling hills of the Eifel, creating a sea of deep green stretching towards the horizon.

From above, villages appear tucked between the woodlands, connected by winding roads that follow the natural contours of the terrain. The contrast with the open Dutch plains is immediate, revealing a landscape shaped as much by nature as by history.

RURSEE

Hidden among the forests of the Eifel, the Rursee is one of the largest and most spectacular reservoirs in Germany.

Its winding shoreline, wooded peninsulas and deep blue waters create a breathtaking landscape that seems almost untouched from above.

Nestled between hills and villages, the lake offers one of the highlights of Flight DA208. As Helmut circles overhead, passengers enjoy a unique perspective on a region where nature and water have shaped the landscape for generations.
