ALONG THE ROUTE

CITADEL OF NAMUR

Perched high above the confluence of the Meuse and Sambre rivers, the Citadel of Namur is one of Europe's largest fortified complexes.

Built and expanded over several centuries, it has played a key strategic role in Belgian history. From the cockpit, its imposing ramparts, winding walls and commanding position overlooking the city make it one of the most impressive landmarks along the route.

CHATEAU DE FREYR

Nestled between the River Meuse and towering limestone cliffs, the Château de Freÿr is one of Belgium's finest Renaissance estates. Once a favourite residence of the Dukes of Beaufort-Spontin, the château is renowned for its elegant architecture, formal French gardens and spectacular riverside setting.

From the air, the harmony between the estate, the Meuse Valley and the dramatic cliffs creates one of the most breathtaking views along DA104.

Lakes of Eau d’Heure

The Lakes of Eau d’Heure form Belgium’s largest lake district, with five lakes surrounded by forests, beaches and rolling countryside.

Created around a series of dams, the site is especially impressive from the air, where its winding shorelines, wooded peninsulas and deep blue waters reveal the full scale of the landscape.

Located just moments from Cerfontaine, the lakes provide a spectacular final view before landing at EBCF.
