FORD BOYARD

Rising from the waters of the Atlantic like a timeless fortress, Fort Boyard has stood watch over the Charente coastline for more than 150 years.

Located between Île d'Aix and Île d'Oléron, this iconic landmark has become one of the region's most recognisable symbols.

For pilots, flying over Fort Boyard is one of the highlights of any journey along France's Atlantic coast, offering a unique aerial perspective of one of the country's most famous maritime fortresses.

Gateway to Île de Ré

Connected to the mainland by the Île de Ré Bridge, one of France's longest sea bridges at nearly three kilometres in length, the Île de Ré is renowned for its sandy beaches, whitewashed villages, salt marshes and relaxed island lifestyle.

From the air, the bridge gracefully spans the Atlantic waters, offering pilots one of the most iconic aerial views along France's Atlantic coastline.
